From the depths of Leverkusen's chemical compounds emerges Thomas Bodenständig, 53-year old German body music fanatic who had all but given up on releasing his industrial-fused beats on a major label. Luckily for him, an emissary from the Brainwaves crew discovered one of his tapes tucked into some hi-visibility Lycra shorts in a second-hand store in Düsseldorf last winter.

Given the latest trends in dance music the crew immediately decided that there was money to be made from this Ruhrpot degenerate, and so the Brainwaves crew is proud to present "Is This EBM?", Thomas Bodenständig's rough but self-reflective attempt at replicating his favourite EBM bands. The fourth track, a lot more recent than the other three, is an ode to one of the saddest tales in the modern music industry, and a reminder to Thomas why he rejects stardom and remains true to his name: down to earth.
